The Eco Council
We are the representatives of Kingsland School’s Eco Council for 2025–2026; we were elected by our classes, with Miss Jones and Mrs Stephenson-Brown supporting us, and our aim is to ensure that children in the school have the opportunity to learn about environmental issues and to help keep the school grounds and the Kingsland area clean and tidy. We meet regularly to discuss environmental matters, and we have the opportunity to share any ideas or concerns with Mr Hearn and the school staff.
Our targets for 2025–2026 are:
- Develop the school garden
- Continue monitoring recycling in the school
- Arrange a litter-picking session on Penrhos beach with Beach Wales
- Arrange for the Kingsland area to become recognised as a ‘no-litter’ zone with Keep Wales Tidy
- Create posters to display in the Kingsland area to inform the public of the dangers of dog mess on our pavements
