Year 5 and 6

My name is Gareth Pawson. 

I am the Year 5 and 6 class teacher at Kingsland School. I have been teaching at Kingsland School since 2009. Before I started teaching at Kingsland, I was studying Accounting and Finance at university and coaching rugby for the councils sport development department. I have also worked briefly in the warehouse for Stena Line. I went to Clyro, Bucknell and Talwrn primary schools, Llangefni secondary school and then to Bangor University. In school, my favourite subject to teach is Maths and PE.

• I have a number of hobbies that include playing rugby, going to the gym, travelling and food! 
• My favourite food is Steak and chips. 
• My favourite colour is blue.
• My favourite TV programme is Rownd a Rownd 
• An interesting fact about me is I’m quarter Italian as my Nana was an Italian. I also learnt Welsh when I was 10 years old after moving back to Anglesey. What I like about Kingsland School is it is a school with a very special atmosphere. The staff are like one big family and this reflects on the children making a happy school.

I enjoy teaching because it gives me great pleasure to be able to play a small part in the development of each child. I like to see the children succeeding both now and in the future.
